In January 21st Evry (Essonne), a trial started for ambush against policemen- seven people were accused of murder attempt or complicity. Five of them are sentenced to 13 to 1 years of prison.

On march 20th 2007, all streets lights are cut in Guinette area (in Etampes), plunging the district in total darkness. Due to police, a car is driven fast, and then burnt with trash cans, cutting across the road. Several individuals open fire. A policeman is slightly injured. The same morning, riot start in that neighborhood when police check ID.

The trial started on Thursday. Five accused were detained, waiting for the trial, and the two other were under judicial control. They are charged with “complicity or murder attempt on public authority”, and “vehicle voluntary damage, by explosive substance, or arson that could endanger people- with organized band”.

Rovany Malonga is sentenced to 13 years for „attempt murder“ and „damage in a group“. The opposition asked 12 years.
Romain Lambert, was sentenced to 10 years with the same accusations..Press say he admitted several shot against police.

Khalid Laraichi was sentenced to 54 months, including 18 months suspended sentence for „damage in a group“ and was put on probation. He was also accused for the damages happening one week before, on March 13th 2007.

Samir Houchou was sentenced to 13 months of prison for these 13th March events.

Anna Vassal et Daniel Da Silva, who lived in the flat where bullets where fired, where accused and found guilty for having hide the rifle, „in order to stand in the way of the truth“. They finally have not been condamned.
